So how did you enjoy the show graspop? And how did you like the crowd?
Graspop is world-class, one of the best festivals in the world. The crowd was awesome, the hospitality was excellent. It's always a nice surprise to get treated so well after touring hard and not knowing what to expect.

What do you prefer a show like this, open air or do you prefer an indoor venue?
I love both open air festivals and indoor venues. Massive audiences or intimate, it feels like home always. The stage is the place, man. I enjoy shifting my costumes around and changing the attack for each venue Huntress plays.

You've played in Belgium a few times already, is there when you come over, time to do some sightseeing? Are there things you would love to see here , and what is one of the things you love about Belgium?
Heck no, there is no time to relax. It's such a whirlwind, we drive to a different country every day when we tour Europe, we need to earn a day off! Maybe really late at night after a show there's time to sight see, but that's where the boys have fun - I vocal rest like a nerd. They like to walk around and find trouble. I love Belgium for it's unique identity. Your waffles are awesome, but not like the trashy American version. Not many people in the US realize that your waffles are classy.

There is quit a difference between the first and second Huntress, the first has lots of diffent stuff on there, which took some adapting but at the same time It was also that what pulled me over into loving Huntress. The second cd was a bit easier getting into, whas that intentionally? For there is some really catchy stuff on the second album :-)
What you are feeling is exactly what we wanted. It's the natural evolution of Huntress. When Huntress signed to Napalm Records, I wanted the first three albums to follow my Pagan beliefs of the Goddess in her three forms: Maiden, Mother and Crone. The first album - Spell  Eater - is in the Maiden phase. It's untamed, wild, sexual. The second album - Starbound Beast - represents the Mother phase. You can hear and feel a new level of musicianship, it's a bit more thoughtful and nourishing. Now comes Album 3, The Crone rules over this next record and she's old, wise, witty and creepy. She's a dirty old woman, horny and sometimes violent. I'm having fun with this already! We record Album 3 this summer, with a release slated for early 2015 on Napalm Records. Huntress will have written and recorded one album for three years. This was the plan for the beginning.

So far Huntress have been two times in a row our album of the month, what can we expect for the third album you are going to record? Something in the line of the second cd or would you like to keep it a surprise?
It will be authentic, modern and true to the roots of heavy metal.

Happy with what Napalm has done for Huntress so far? How big is the band in the US? Or is the market harder over there?
Huntress is conquering and ascending steadily. We see an equal fanbase in North America and Europe. Napalm Records shares our vision and that was the reason we chose to walk this path with them.

Could you tell me the difference between Wiccan and Pagan and to which do you belong?
My beliefs are Pagan, based in the worship of Nature. I am a solitary white witch. Wicca shares many of my beliefs, however, it is an organized religion and I want no part in that. Wicca is commercial and loses some purity in that approach, but it has helped many humans to find their purpose, so that's cool. Many of my Pagan sisters and brothers are Wiccan and I love them dearly. But I won't be claimed or tamed.

As said before you played Belgium a few times already and with quite diverse bands, is this extra challenging? And was it easy getting on these tours? ANd when you play with different bands, say very technical like Dragonforce or real heavy stuff like Lamn Of God, do you have to do prove yourselves extra to these crowds?
I never try to prove myself to anyone, I simply exist and do what is true. All the bands we've toured with have reached out to us, that is quite an honor. Huntress can tour with a variety of bands because we have many influences that make us accessible. I like to shift my attack depending on the vibe, but I never over think shit. It's the same with my bandmates, we just bring it hard every night and win people over.

In the current metal scene lots of female singers nowadays are those gothic or opera singer, which I don't like at all, but it is so cool to hear that there are still female who like to sing/ scream and howl like you!
Fuck easy listening metal. I'm also not into that gothic opera metal style...

You are a very beautiful women with a strong appearance on stage, do you also like to use that on stage to enchant the crowd  ;-)

One of the most popular songs and one off my favorite Huntress songs if off course the co written song by Lemmy, I want to fuck you to death! I guess it's a big fan fave and awesome very in your face lyrics!
When Lemmy wrote those lyrics for Huntress, it was a high-five from the Universe! Fans love that song and it's gift from a dear friend. Lem is one of the few people on this planet who has integrity. He's a rarity.
