Hell Spawn

Als je jezelf voorstelt aan de hand van 2 nummers en je kan de luisteraar met honger achterlaten, dan maak je indruk. Mist, een pas vorig jaar opgerichte doom metalband uit Slovenië, debuteert zo op "Demo 2013". Het slepende "Phobia" op kant A en het meer groovende "The living dead" op kant B laten een traditioneel geïnspireerd geluid horen. Het is vergelijkbaar met bands als The Oath, Second Grave, het vroegere Mourn, vooral omwille van de galmende vrouwenzang. Bij nader onderzoek blijkt zelfs gans Mist uit vrouwen te bestaan. If you present yourself on the basis of two songs and you can leave the listener hungry, than you make an impression. Mist, a doom metal band from Slovenia, newly established last year, debuts in that way with "Demo 2013". The slow pounding "Phobia" on side A and the more groovy "The living dead" on the B side have a traditional inspired sound. It is similar to bands like The Oath, Second Grave, the former Mourn, mainly because of the echoing female vocals. On closer examination it even shows that Mist is an all female band.
